WEBSITE OF THE SOUTH-EAST: GRACE ACTS

www.graceacts.com

I have loved planning events for as long as I can remember. It was the family business; my grandmother catered for audiences of all sizes. She was blessed with a creative eye for design, incredible culinary skill, and a keen ability to manage large and small budgets and teams. As a little girl, I marveled as she flowed with almost effortless grace while addressing every minute detail of an event. She taught me.

Fittingly, the company is named in her honor. In fact, it was through her eyes that I first realized my love for planning events. Yet, I decided to pursue more ‘legitimate’ business and law degrees and although I became a licensed attorney and an accomplished corporate executive, few things compare to the joy I realize in executing an event. So, its no irony that regardless of what I’ve done over the years, event management always seemed to play a role.

From reviving my law school’s Barristers’ Ball to leading countless Fortune 25 meeting and gala plans with budgets literally ranging from hundreds to millions of dollars, to assisting friends with weddings, fundraisers and social events, I have always been blessed to pursue my passion for planning events, and have gained invaluable experience in the past 20 years. In fact my expertise in negotiating contracts was actually honed during my years as the Lead Meeting Planning Attorney for the world’s largest retailer. Back then I didn’t realize how God was putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together, but now I do.

Today, I embrace the fact that nothing could be more ‘legitimate’ than pursuing one’s passion. One of the things God created me to do is design, organize and orchestrate events; it is my way of helping others celebrate life’s personal and professional triumphs.

So, in 2005 Grace Acts was officially launched and we are blessed to do work we love. The greatest testament to that effort is that a lion’s share of our new business comes from word of mouth referrals. That is what we set out to do - create experiences worth remarking about!
